Welcome to Rehab IQ: Practice With Judgment
Practice With Judgment is a written learning publication for experienced physical therapists and healthcare leaders who work in the real world—where complexity, time pressure, productivity demands, and human factors shape every clinical decision. This space exists to translate complex clinical, organizational, and workplace health challenges into clear, evidence-informed insight you can actually use.
I’m Stefanie Reid, MPT, DPT, Cert. DN, Cert. BFR, a physical therapist with over 25 years of experience across outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, clinical research, and corporate clinical leadership. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked at the intersection of patient care, systems design, and clinician development—seeing firsthand how excellent clinicians are often asked to make high-stakes decisions with limited guidance, time, or structural support.
Here, you won’t find recycled protocols, surface-level wellness advice, or performative education. Instead, Rehab IQ focuses on clinical judgment—how decisions are made when guidelines collide, patients don’t fit the textbook, and systems create constraints that matter just as much as anatomy.
Content is designed for seasoned clinicians and leaders who:
- Manage complex orthopedic and persistent pain cases
- Navigate burnout, moral injury, and sustainability in practice
- Lead teams or clinics while still carrying clinical responsibility
- Want evidence translated into practical frameworks, not abstract theory
Subscribers receive access to exclusive, in-depth content including:
- Case-based clinical reasoning breakdowns
- Evidence translation with direct clinical application
- Leadership and burnout frameworks grounded in organizational reality
- Injury prevention and insights for complex and under-represented populations, including midlife & perimenopausal athletes and females
- Practical tools, templates, and decision frameworks designed for outpatient practice
The goal of Rehab IQ is simple but ambitious: to help clinicians think more clearly, decide more confidently, and practice sustainably—without losing what brought them into the profession in the first place.
Subscribe to access leading-edge research, thoughtful analysis, and practical insight written for clinicians who value judgment over checklists.
